The live show had the Montreal audience whipped into a frenzy within the first few songs. Security was working double duty to protect the photographers when body after body swam into the media pit!!! (Hat’s off once again to the tremendous job that security did to keep us safe!
A few songs into the set, Dave addressed the audience telling them that Revocation joined this tour to help build awareness of the band and their latest album. He then asked the audience if they were having a good time…the place went crazy! A sea of horns & fists were thrown up into the air and a thunderous roar swept through the room. Yes, Dave, they were having a great time! They were LOVING your band.
That exchange of energy between the band and the audience catapulted the show to a new level of intensity. I can’t remember the last time I saw a frontman smile so much during a show. Dave literally smiled through the rest of the show. The audience showed their appreciation enthusiastically, an and energetic positive vibe filled Metropolis. It was palpalble.
Outside it was cold and snowing, inside something warm, fuzzy and extremely heavy was happening…
I’ll bet they’re looking forward to coming back as much as we’re looking forward to having them!
Chaos of Forms, Revocation’s latest offering, offers a tasty variety of groove-heavy metal and is available on Relapse Records.
