Danno at NAMM – Interviews

Nili Brosh

I was looking forward to meeting up with Nili and hearing her story since her solo CD was launched, and she subsequently joined up with Tony MacAlpine.

I wanted to meet her, and hear her talk about what it was like to walk into a room with MacAlpine on guitars, Virgil Donati on drums and Bjorn on bass for her first audition.

She’s got great energy and is a gracious person. I’m pretty sure we’d have chatted forever if we both didn’t have to be elsewhere. (Never enough time at NAMM )

Phil X

I knew Phil from way back, when I was living in Toronto, before Triumph, and before he relocated to LA in 97. Always bouncing and full-on, he’s got a who’s who list of artists he has recorded and toured with over his 25 year+ career.

Dino Cazares

We bumped into Dino and his wife at the legendary Rainbow.  It was the first time I’d been in the Rainbow. We walked in, and Dino was sitting at the table directly in view from the door!  We chatted a bit and he said that he was into doing an interview and he’d buzz me. A couple of days later Drew and I are on a patio, having a late breakfast and soaking in the blazing sun on Sunset blvd when Dino calls and says, “Hey how about meeting up at the Rainbow later…” It was one of my highlights of the trip.

Craig Locicero

This interview was a beautiful “Right place at the right time” event.  We caught up with Craig just outside the convention center and asked if he’d take a few minutes to chat. He indulged us!
