Steve – or “Steve” as he’s known to his friends, is quite disappointed to have never earned a nickname.
In terms of pure guitar playing prowess, Steve is self-described as ‘mediocre’.
Entirely self taught, Steve’s strength is that he can play any song in the world…as long as it only has the chords G, C, and D. (Screw you, F!)
Now this isn’t to say that his playing is bad – just limited. And it’s the challenge of playing music despite these limits that makes Steve’s columns easy to relate to for most burgeoning guitarists.
With experience writing comedy for stage and television, Steve tries to bring the readers along on his journey to become a better amateur, performing in half-full coffee shops and pizzerias, thereby earning the respect and adoration of – literally – tens of people.
